I don't usually post my own work in the journal, but I fiugured my new cam would be a good excuse to do so.
My T1i is working out just fine thus far. The biggest differences over my s9000 (apart from the inherent bridge vs DSLR issue) are:
1-The 3" screen (no more guesswork when it comes to focus);
2-Fast processing of RAW shots (bracketing in RAW, finally);
3-Optional RAW+JPEG function, which is a godsend when the files first arrive on my hard drive.
I've not yet submitted any fully-fledged and true HDRs (all sumissions are single-file) due to windy conditions on my first real outing with the cam. Hopefully up King Mountain this weekend I'll get some calm winds that wont shake the tripod or cause those terrible aberrations.

Next up is the purchase of the Sigma 10-20mm...
FEATURE OPPORTUNITYEarlier today I whipped up a
poll asking a simple question: Is your personal favorite submission/work aslo your most

'd piece?
This thought has been nagging me for some time. I want to find out if others find themselves in the same situation as me when it comes to their personal favorite. Personally my favorite piece is
Open Up the Sky. Technically (by my standards today), it's a disaster, with 1

and 1 comment. However, I'm proud of and love this shot because it's the one shot I shot as a concept, and my one shot which was truly inspired by another piece of work from a totally different medium (music).
That being said, I 'd love to hear about your favorite piece and where it situates in your DA rankings. Have you judged this piece based on other deviants' repsonse? Did the response it received encourage/discourage you? Did it affect your style? direction? use of processes like, say, HDR?
The first eight (8) people to note me with a link to their personal favorite piece of work (their own work, duh) will be featured in the follow-up to this journal!! It would be appreciated if you could let me know how its response on DA has (or hasn't) affected subsequent shots.
