A Journal Loaded With Links

So, this week, I was sent on a little business trip. This little business trip involved a combination of elements, which added up to a photography GOLD MINE.

-1-
I was issued a 'small' rental car: an '08 Mazda6. Hehe. Lucky me to live in a place where such sizeable vehicles are available to common folk such as myself....god I love my boss (he's sympathetic to my height situation).

-2-
I had to drive from here in Ottawa, take Highway 17 from Ottawa to Renfrew, then take Highway 60 all-out to Huntsville, Ontario, then down to Bracebridge, Ontario, near the destination of my little business trip.

-3-
This provided my with 2 distinct opportunities to have a little fun with my T1i: Highway 60 runs through approximately 60 kms of Algonquin Provincial Park, and Bracebridge Ontario happens to be about 5 minutes drive from Lake Muskoka.

-4-
Here's where this little trifecta comes together.....this was the second week of October, in Canada....FALL COLOURS....yeah....

I was basically driving 900kms, in this really comfy car, with my flashers on the whole time as I was stopping so frequently.

69 sets of shots. I'm officially stocked for winter work.

Little Bonuses

1- Prior to departing I purchased a copy of Neil Young's Harvest. Listening to this album over and over was simply bliss (yes...I brought other CDs on the trip, but this one is well...you need to hear it to understand what I mean)
2- A little coffee place in Bracebridge called 'Muskoka Bean'. Yummy food and delicious coffee.
3-The business-end of the trip was well worth the drive, as well.

The trip would have been perfect if my other half were there to share it with me. I miss him when I'm away.

Okay, and no, I will not give up this little habit, Random FEATURES

~John
